Museum of Fine Arts of Córdoba

The Museum of Fine Arts of Córdoba is housed in the former Hospital de la Caridad (16th century) and brings together works ranging from the Middle Ages to the 20th century, with a special focus on the Cordoban school and artists such as Goya, Murillo and Ribera.

Free admission conditions

Free admission all year round for citizens of the EU, the European Economic Area and Ibero-America.
• All other visitors: general admission 1,50 €.
• On Sunday and public holiday mornings (09:00 – 15:00) admission is free for everyone.

Viana Palace

The Viana Palace is famous for its twelve historic courtyards and its valuable art collection. Walking through them is an immersion in Andalusian civil architecture from the Renaissance to the Baroque.

Free admission conditions

Wednesdays from 14:00 to 17:00: free access to the courtyards (limited capacity).
• On the other days: 8,50 € (courtyards) or 14 € (courtyards + state rooms).
• Free admission on the first Sunday of the month no longer applies.

Mosque–Cathedral of Córdoba

The Mosque–Cathedral of Córdoba, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, combines Islamic and Christian art in a single monument. Its two-tone arcades, mihrab and Renaissance nave form a unique ensemble.

Free entry times

  • Monday to Saturday: 08:30 – 09:30 (individual visits only, no organized groups).

On Sundays and public holidays, tourist visits are always subject to an admission fee (except when attending a religious service). Outside the free time slot, the general ticket price is 13 €.

What to see during the free visit

You can freely wander through the forest of columns and horseshoe arches, admire the caliphal mihrab and see the 16th-century cathedral nave, a symbol of the coexistence of cultures.

Rafael Botí Art Center

The Rafael Botí Art Center hosts temporary exhibitions of modern and contemporary art, as well as workshops and activities for all audiences. The permanent collection pays tribute to the Cordoban painter Rafael Botí.

Free admission to the permanent exhibitions and most temporary ones.
• Some special exhibitions may have a specific admission fee.

Tuesday to Saturday: 10:00 – 20:30
Sundays and public holidays: 10:00 – 14:00
Monday: closed.

Roman Bridge

The Roman Bridge, built in the 1st century BC over the Guadalquivir, is open 24 hours a day. It is a perfect viewpoint for photographing the night-time silhouette of the Mosque–Cathedral.

Gardens of the Alcázar

The Gardens of the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos combine ponds, fountains and Mudejar-style flowerbeds. The palace is currently under restoration, but the gardens can be visited in part.

Free entry (summer 2025)

• From 2 Jul to 12 Sep 2025: free entry from 08:15 to 12:00 due to construction works.
• Once the works are finished, free admission will again be available on non-holiday Thursdays from 18:00 (last entry 19:30).

Plaza de la Corredera

Plaza de la Corredera, the only quadrangular main square in Andalusia, is open all day. Have a drink under its arcades or drop by on Saturdays for the antiques market.

Roman Temple of Córdoba

The Roman Temple, built in the 1st century in honour of the imperial cult, can only be visited on free guided tours with limited capacity (30 people). Book your place in advance at the Tourist Office.

Asomadilla Park

Asomadilla Park, covering 27 hectares, is Córdoba’s great green lung. It has viewpoints, sports courts and children’s play areas.

Access and activities

• Free access 24 hours a day; some gates close at night, but there is always access from Agrupación Córdoba Avenue.
• Picnic areas, running paths and free football and basketball courts.
• Occasional workshops and events may require paid registration.
