Elche Park

Elche Park, a true green refuge covering more than 20,000 square metres, is one of the most iconic and beloved spaces for residents and visitors to Benidorm. Located close to the beach, this park offers a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, where nature blends with art and culture in a carefully designed setting.
Among its winding paths, visitors can discover a varied collection of palm trees, representing one of the largest concentrations of these species in Europe. The presence of more than 300 palm trees of different varieties, together with rich vegetation that includes native and ornamental plants, makes Elche Park a place of botanical interest. The trees provide shade and a cool atmosphere, ideal for strolling or simply relaxing on a bench while enjoying the song of the birds that nest in the park.
Castle Viewpoint

The Benidorm Castle Viewpoint rises majestically above the coast, offering one of the most impressive views in the region. This panoramic point, located at the top of a hill, allows visitors to contemplate the splendour of the Mediterranean Sea and the coastline stretching as far as the eye can see. The feeling of being surrounded by natural landscapes, combined with the city’s modern architecture, creates a visual spectacle that is irresistible for lovers of photography and nature. The strategic location of the viewpoint, within the former grounds of the Benidorm Castle, not only offers views but also immerses visitors in the history of the city.
Paseo de la Carretera

Right in the heart of Benidorm’s old town, Paseo de la Carretera beats like the city’s main artery, a pedestrian area that’s always lively and a point of reference for both tourists and locals. This narrow and bustling street is much more than just a road: it is an essential route for anyone wanting to immerse themselves in the urban and social essence of the capital of the Costa Blanca.
In the 1930s, when Benidorm was still just a quiet fishing village, the street didn’t even appear on maps and marked the end of the urban centre and the start of the road towards nearby towns such as Villajoyosa or L’Alfàs del Pi. With the massive arrival of tourism in the 1960s, the city grew and this street became the epicentre of commerce and social life, surrounded by bars, restaurants and all kinds of shops. It wasn’t until the 1980s that it received its definitive name: Paseo de la Carretera, or “Passeig de la Carretera” in Valencian.
The famous ‘Calle del Coño’
Among locals and visitors, Paseo de la Carretera is popularly known as ‘Calle del Coño’, a nickname that has nothing to do with the literal meaning of the word. The origin is much more colourful: it was common for people from Benidorm, when bumping into acquaintances during their stroll, to exclaim in surprise “¡Coño, Manolo!”, turning the street into a synonym for reunions and social life. So much so that, if someone wanted to avoid another person, it was enough simply not to walk down that street.
Benidorm Island

Benidorm Island is a destination that surprises visitors with its natural beauty and rich biodiversity. Covering barely 1.5 square kilometres, this island is a unique place where you can enjoy the tranquillity and serenity of its fine sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. The island, declared a protected Natural Site, is home to a great variety of flora and fauna, making it a point of interest for both nature lovers and enthusiasts of hiking and diving. Its rocky coastline is full of impressive cliffs, making it an ideal place for water sports such as snorkelling and paddleboarding.
One of the island’s most outstanding features is its ecological diversity. The native vegetation includes species such as pita and rosemary, which are typical of the Mediterranean region. In addition, the waters surrounding the island are home to a large number of marine species, including brightly coloured fish, which attract divers of all levels. Visitors can explore this rich marine life through organised excursions that allow them to enjoy the underwater beauty of the island. At the highest point stands a lighthouse that not only serves as a guide for sailors but also offers spectacular panoramic views, perfect for capturing unforgettable moments.
Aqualandia Water Park

Aqualandia Water Park in Benidorm stands out as one of the most iconic destinations for those seeking a getaway full of fun and adrenaline. Opened in 1985, this water park has become a national reference point, offering a wide range of slides and attractions that guarantee an unforgettable experience. Among its main highlights is the famous Verti-Go, a slide that defies gravity and ranks among the tallest in Europe, giving thrill-seekers an exciting free fall from a height of 33 metres.
Terra Mítica

Terra Mítica is a theme park that combines adventure, entertainment and culture. Designed to immerse visitors in the rich mythology of ancient Mediterranean civilisations, the park is divided into several themed areas, each dedicated to a specific culture, such as the Greek, Roman and Egyptian. Among its numerous attractions are roller coasters and live shows that feature an impressive combination of special effects and performances capturing the essence of each civilisation. Visitors are drawn into a journey where legends come to life and history becomes an interactive experience.
One of the most fascinating aspects of Terra Mítica is its focus on education through entertainment. Here, tourists can learn about the traditions and mythologies of ancient peoples while enjoying exciting attractions. The attention to detail is evident in every corner of the park, from the architecture of the buildings to the representations of myths that recount the stories of heroes and gods. Among the most popular attractions is El vuelo del Fénix (The Flight of the Phoenix), a roller coaster that offers a thrilling experience while immersing visitors in the legend of the mythical bird that rises from its ashes.
