Thanks for sharing your experience about the great cities in the world. Wish now to be a bit younger and able to visit a few of these gems of places.
Spain 25, Italy 8, France 5 and Germany 4! Biased towards Spain!!! Spain is awesome but the other countries are also great and highly walkable. In addition to Great Britian only 3…along with eight other countries also having three cities….Not scientific at all!
Budapest at #2 deserves a better and more representative photo.. and Pexels has plenty of them. That selection makes it look industrial and grimy. It’s a gorgeous city.
Not a bad list but heavily biased toward Spain, in particular. It made me wonder if the writer or writers have ever even been to Asia since they listed Tokyo first. Of the Asian cities listed Tokyo is one of the less walkable. In Japan, I would have listed Osaka Kyoto Nara, Kobe Hiroshima and Miyajima, ahead of Tokyo. How does Singapore not even make the list?! It’s one of the very few cities in the world where you can walk between completely different cultures. Not to mention, where’s Sydney, Christchurch, Auckland. Believe it or not the world is actually more than just Europe…… Also, Barcelona, NOT a walkable city. Sites are spread across a massive city landscape. It requires extensive planing. Top ten for cities to see, but i’m not sure it would even make my top 100 for walkable cities.
